The Sound Garden was installed on the Great Redwood Trail in November of 2020. So many people have loved it,... and they show their love by banging on it and beating it up. The beatings have left it needing a little care. And we're just the ones to provide the healing.
We're going to install a new metal tubulum (AKA Aerophone), replace most of the bangy things and the bamboo, and paint it. We hope to put down some crushed granite or someother more durable and better looking surface.
Most of what we need isn't very expensive, but the bamboo is pretty pricey, probably more than a thousand bucks.
The bamboo forest has been hit hard with vandalism.
Our tubulum is destroyed.
And it would be much more inviting and take less weeding if we can get put down some crushed granite. All of this will make the Great Redwood Trail a more fun and inviting place to go. And the more people we get using it, the less problems will have with vandalism. Thanks for any help you can provide.
