Sophie is 37 years of age and has two beautiful daughters ages 13 and 17. Sophie fell ill 3 weeks ago with an autoimmune condition that has attacked her brain and caused seizures. She has been put in an induced coma and is being treated to eliminate the seizures. They are still trying to pinpoint exactly what caused this and what medications can help with her recovery. She is looking at a very long recovery period,  may have to deal with some disability and may not be back to work for several months. She is from Sudbury, Ontario and was airlifted to London Ontario about 7 hours drive from home. Her partner has had to take time off work to be with her and the expenses are now mounting. The funds will be used to take care of her daughters, help with her partners'  expenses while away from home and any medical expenses for Sophie not covered by insurance.
