Hey this is Coco, a super cute, crazy cavoodle.

My daughter called me while I was at work last week to say something was wrong, Coco was not her normal happy self, looking sad & could not walk properly or jump up for a snuggle. If she is not smiling definitely something up so I organised a vet appointment asap & off we went.

Turns out she has luxated patella in both her back knees, which basically means her kneecaps pop out! We got some meds & went home. The next day when I arrived home from work Coco could not sit down. She would try & then stand up, try & stand up so was obviously painful for her. Back to the vet the next day (saw someone different) and they said she needs surgery, as the issue will not get better only worse.

Coco is only 18 months old & has never previously shown any symptoms, so was a bit of a shock. Contacted the surgeon and we are looking at around $7000 to do both knees at the same time & then an 8 week recovery period.

I never thought I would be in the situation to have to ask for help, but here we are... Coco is still young & has plenty of life ahead of her. This surgery is very much needed as she deserves quality of life in the years to come.
