Hello,

Kwasi and Kayla Smiley are United States Air Force members previously stationed at Holloman AFB, NM. During transit to their new assignment to Eglin AFB, FL., they stopped to get some rest in the Fort Worth, TX area. Sadly, they found out their lives were stolen from them overnight when they woke up the following day. Their entire 20ft U-Haul with one of their car attached was stolen. Everything they owned was inside that U-haul besides the few items they took inside for themselves and three kids. U-Haul insurance covers the truck and trailer lost but does not cover what was inside. After five days of waiting to see if the local PD would catch the people responsible, it looked less and less likely that they would and even less likely that they would get their belongings back. They are currently back on the road to finish their travels to Florida. PCSing is an already stressful process but having to bounce back from this horrible event is even more stressful on top of the PCS. Having to repurchase everything for themselves and their children, another vehicle, deposits for a home, etc. This would be a financial crisis for almost anyone, let alone a family of 5.

These funds will undoubtedly assist them in bouncing back after losing everything. So let's come together and help out the Smiley Family to bring some light to these dark times.
