Smelly Adams - The Curious Poo

Hi! My name is Sinead and I am fundraising for the Smelly Adams Song, Animation & Book Project. Smelly is the main character of a song and (childrens) book about poo! Smelly( the song) was first born when my then, two small boys kept asking about the 'poo story'. The song tells the story of Smelly Adams - who lands in the loo and sets out on an epic adventure down the sewer on a quest to find answers to those pertinent questions in life - who am I? Where do I come from?

Here is the first Story Board

Smelly has been spiritually constipated for some time, and now given Sineads increasing age and decreasing sense of shame about all sorts of insidious things, she's let the letting go of Smelly begin! Sinead wants to strike one potential death bed regret off the list and more than that she herself, just like Smelly, is on a mission - to develop capacities to let go, to embrace the transformation of form and to accept, respect and appreciate, without shame - our earth bound human nature. In short, to make poo, much less taboo!

 

I am very grateful for any and all donations you can give. For all donations over €15 euros, this will include a copy of the book (signed if you'd like) to cover postage and book purchase costs.

 

The money raised will be used to contribute towards the illustration as well as printing & publishing costs for the book version of Smelly. The bulk of the costs are professional illustration - €2800, printing & publishing cost for 500 coloured books is estimated at €4000. I am exploring other funding options and have contributed everything I can, when I can, to this project. It may be entirely over ambitious to get books on shelves by this Christmas - lets see how fundraising goes.. Donations will also contribute towards professional producers & animators for optimal video and sound quality towards the song & animated version of Smelly.

 

I will keep you updated on progress made, each step of the way. You'll see the story board is complete already. Ideally, we bring Smelly to song, book and animated life together so that all can see and/or hear the story of Smelly.

 

My vision is that Smelly brings laughter and light-heartedness to story and song time for kids (of all ages) and most importantly - that Smelly helps poo become much less taboo!
