The SLO SLO DERMO Challenge

You may have heard of GOGO Dermo. I’ve also completed a Row Row Dermo challenge and more recently, a Flo Flo Dermo one. So here’s the latest challenge-It’s called Sloslodermo!

I’ve become increasingly more involved of late, in the international campaign to end the genocide which is still ongoing in Palestine.

Over the past 5 years, I’ve raised hundreds of thousands of euros for worthy causes, most notably for Pieta and for the Mater Foundation for Cancer research.

This December, I’ve decided to attempt to raise €1000 for the Irish Humanitarian Charity, Trocaire’s Campaign to provide relief in the form of medical aid for the children of Gaza. See: https://www.trocaire.org/donations/now/

I plan to achieve this by walking /running very slowly in the wonderful Phoenix Park, in Dublin close to where I live, every day in December. I’m starting with a relatively modest 25km per day, building up to 50km plus for the week after Christmas Day. I’ll be averaging 33 km per day. Most of my walks will take place early in the morning between sunrise and midday. I’ll be wearing my Free Palestine shirt and carrying my flag.

I’d be delighted if other walkers, joggers or slow runners could join me for some long or short segments of my walk. Generally, I’ll be starting at the Phoenix Park main Heuston Station entrance at around 8 am, walking in a clockwise direction. I’ll try to stay mostly on grassy tracks and pathways. Other participants are welcome to set up their own fundraising pages or have their supporters donate directly to mine.

From the River to the Sea
Palestine will be Free!

Want to join me in making a difference? I’m raising money to benefit Trócaire, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
