Faco is 23 years old. And cancer has returned.

He beat it once. Now, he must do it again — and this time, we’re asking for your help.

A young voice interrupted, but not silenced

My name is Roberto Rivera, and I’m writing this as a father — with a heart full of love and urgency.

My son, Roberto Francisco Rivera, known to everyone as Faco, is a passionate sports commentator, a creative soul, and a dreamer. At just 21, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer and, with courage, he overcame it.

He went back to doing what he loves most: telling stories, creating content, and inspiring others with his voice and joy.

But life has tested us once again.

Today, at just 23 years old, Faco faces his second battle against cancer. He is about to begin six rounds of chemotherapy, and as a family, we’re doing everything we can to support him emotionally, physically, and financially.

Where the funds will go

The cost of this second battle is overwhelming. The total estimated cost of treatment exceeds $14,500 USD, which includes:

$2,480 USD per chemotherapy session
Medical exams, transportation, special nutrition, supportive medication, and recovery.

As a father, there’s no greater pain than realizing you can’t do this alone. This time, it’s beyond our means. That’s why, with all the humility in the world, I turn to your generosity.

Note: These procedures will be carried out in private clinics in Honduras, as our public healthcare system is overwhelmed — and my son’s illness simply can’t wait.

Faco’s words: a message for his generation

I’ve heard him tell me: “Dad, don’t worry… we’re going to make it through.”

With the same powerful voice that defines him, he wants to become a voice for other young people. He wants to tell them to take care of themselves, to not ignore the pain. That cancer doesn’t wait for old age…and that we need to speak about it, detect it early, and face it head-on.

Faco doesn’t just want to survive.

He wants to turn his pain into purpose.

The sky is the limit… and we’re going to break through it.

This phrase has become our mantra. We believe in breaking barriers — physical, emotional, and financial. And we know that, with you, we can give Faco the second chance he deserves.
