We Need a little Help

Running an independent venue has never been easy, but recently the costs have been climbing faster or catching up to us than any of us could have imagined. Between PRS/PPL fees becoming almost unattainable, British Gas increases, Cambridge Water and council costs hitting over £15k a year, and weekly essentials like staff, stock, and rent sitting around £7k a week — it’s a lot.

We’re not here to sound desperate but to stay positive that the new refurb will propel the six six to crazy new heights next year

We want to keep growing, keep serving our community, keep supporting live music, and—most importantly—start clearing some of the debt that’s built up so we can finally breathe again.

So in 2026, we’re kicking off a series of Fundraiser Events — and we’d love your help.

We’re looking for bands (all genres welcome!) who’d be up for playing all-ages, all-day fundraising shows.

These events will help us stay afloat, keep the doors open, and keep doing what we love: putting on incredible live music for Cambridge.

If you’re a band, artist, or promoter who wants to be part of something positive, hopeful, and community-driven — we want to hear from you.
