The Silly Goose Foundation began with one young woman, a love of creativity, and a belief that everyone deserves a place to belong.
Reagan is 24 years old and was born with Down syndrome. She has always loved art and design, especially textiles, and regularly uses her sewing skills to create handmade pieces that raise money for good causes. Creativity isn’t just something Reagan enjoys – it’s how she connects with the world.

While working towards her GCSE in Textiles, Reagan set up her own studio in Birkenhead. What began as a personal learning space quickly grew into an open, welcoming environment for adults with learning disabilities and people experiencing social isolation.

With the support of her mum, Vicky, and her teacher, Rachael, Reagan opened the doors to others. The studio became a place to create, talk, learn and feel included. From weekly mindfulness and chat groups to popular Halloween and Christmas events, The Silly Goose Foundation has grown into a true community hub.

The Silly Goose Foundation exists to advance education and personal development for adults with learning disabilities through accessible, inclusive creative activities such as art, textiles, music and movement. We also work to reduce social isolation by offering safe spaces for creative expression, peer support and community connection for individuals with learning disabilities, unpaid carers and others at risk of isolation.

Our long-term goal is to fund GCSE qualifications for adults with learning disabilities, giving people the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications later in life. To make this possible, we need support to cover the essential costs of running inclusive creative education. This includes equipment such as sewing machines and tools, fabrics and art materials, studio resources, and exam entry fees.

Recently, Reagan was stunned to welcome Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson to the Silly Goose Foundation base — a moment that showed how far this small idea has already reached.

With your help, we can continue to grow, reach more people, and remove barriers to education, creativity and connection.
Every donation helps keep the Silly Goose Foundation flying.
