On December 21, 2025, The Shuroop Sushi Bar & Ramen House in downtown Kingston suffered a devastating fire that originated in the basement and quickly spread through the building. Despite the swift response by Kingston Fire & Rescue, the restaurant’s interior and structure were heavily damaged, and the owners — who poured their heart, savings, and effort into building this community favourite are now facing the long road to recovery. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the financial impact is significant. We are raising funds to support the owners, help rebuild what was lost, and ensure our favourite local restaurant can rise again.
