Hi, we are a team of university students coming together to create our short film, Bleeding Memories.

What began as an idea between our screenwriter and director, Maddalena, and a local producer she met at a film festival has grown into a passionate collaboration between a dedicated cast and crew. As a team, we share a love for storytelling and filmmaking, and this project represents months of writing, planning, and creative development. For many of us, this is a huge milestone — our first opportunity to bring an original story to life on screen, together.

Bleeding Memories will mark Maddalena’s debut as a director, but it is truly a collective effort. From cinematography and production design to performance and post-production, every member of our team is contributing their skills, time, and creativity to make this film the best it can be.

At its heart, Bleeding Memories is a story about sisterhood — about how, no matter the hand you are dealt in life, it is the people around you who shape what that life becomes. The film weaves together two contrasting narratives: one exploring grief and loss through cancer, and the other capturing youth, resilience, and sisterhood within a neglected household. Inspired by the idea of “the seven minutes of life,” we aim to create a moving and visually compelling story that reflects on memory, love, and what truly stays with us.

We are currently seeking financial support to help cover essential production costs, including travel for our actors coming from London, as well as costumes and props that will help us fully realise the world of the film. Every donation, no matter the size, directly supports our team and helps us bring this project to life.
