A year in the planning

An amazing, well deserved holiday for a wonderful Grandma and her grand daughter. GCSEs done and Grandma (at 75) still working and saving hard to treat them, to making memories cherished forever. An exciting 2 week adventure for them both.

The day arrived... Grandma drove all the way down from Scotland and the drive to Southampton began.

Plans being made in the car of things they would do and see on their 2 week adventure together.

The excitement was palpable.

2 hours to Southampton, waves and hugs and kisses happened...

Then

Poor Grandma discovered that although she completed and ESTA for herself, she didn't think under 16s needed one..

They sat at the dock and applied for it, assured by staff it would definitely come through before the boat left....

Just as they lifted the anchor, it came through 2 sobbing, heartbroken souls watched as the boat left and we came back to collect them

Our hearts are broken for all the hard work it's taken to get this far, and to miss out at the last second

We are trying to raise money to arrange flights to New York so they can at least experience the boat journey home to Southampton
