The Animal Cause, Inc. is rebuilding our animal transport work through The Shepherd’s Ark program after upgrading from cargo vans to a 24-foot bus.
That expanded capacity matters. It means we can prepare for safer, more structured, route-based animal transport for shelters, rescues, fosters, adopters, and receiving partners.
But before the Ark can move animals at a larger scale, the bus must be safe.
Right now, we are down to less than $500, while caring for the animals already entrusted to us and preparing the bus for future transport work.
We now have a written estimate for front and rear brake work:
Brakes: $2,558.75
Additional immediate safety needs include:
Tires: $119–$227 each, estimated $714–$1,362 before installation-related fees
Oil change: estimated around $300, pending final specs
Because tire installation, fees, and a modest safety margin must be included, we are setting the immediate Bus Safety Fund goal at $4,500.
This is not cosmetic. This is not optional.
For animal transport, vehicle safety is animal safety.
“The righteous care for the needs of their animals…” — Proverbs 12:10
We are not trying to build something flashy. We are trying to build something faithful — one repair, one mile, one animal, and one act of stewardship at a time.
Your gift will help cover:
front and rear brake work
tires
oil change
installation-related fees
immediate safety-readiness needs
Thank you for helping us stabilize The Shepherd’s Ark so we can continue caring for the animals already in our care and prepare responsibly for future transport work.
To God be the glory.
