Those of you who come in contact with Sheila Canty in THS dining hall regularly, know Sheila as the kind, warm-hearted person who checks us out as we pass her register in the dining hall.  However, what you may not know is that Sheila has been battling cancer and diabetes over the past year.

Recently, the doctors informed Sheila that the cancer has spread to her lungs, and that because of other health conditions, chemotherapy is not an option.  In other words, the cancer is spreading and there is no effective treatment option.  The outlook is not good.

While Sheila is at peace with this information and her faith has made her strong, her condition makes it impossible for her to work on a regular basis.  As a wage earning employee, this means a loss of work and income. 

So as the Holiday Season is upon us, I am calling on THS community to help me in stepping up and lending a helping hand.  Any contribution you can make to the Sheila Canty Fund on gofundme.com will be given directly to Sheila so that she can take care of herself and her family without the need to worry about finances.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 before Winter Break on December 16th but any amount, no matter how large or small, will make a difference.  Thank you in advance for taking the time and considering making a sacrifice of any size to aid with this cause.
