The Shanty Needs Your Help

The Shanty needs your help. The struggles of the coronavirus closures have been especially difficult for old businesses like ours. The dramatic loss of revenue during a time when our faithful Arizona Wildcats' crowd should be enjoying our establishment was unsettling, to say the least. Taking the steps we could to furlough employees for unemployment benefits and apply to relief funding were, at the time, the best we could do the prepare for the wave of uncertainty. However, we all know that the relief that small businesses were promised has been slow in coming and, for some, has not arrived at all. There are now licenses that need to be renewed. Paychecks to cover for our loyal staff members. Maintenance work that must be performed. Bills that have to be paid. A shutdown does not mean that the behind-the-scenes responsibilities come to a halt.  We want to ensure that we remain a valiant member of the Fourth Avenue area and the Tucson business community. We want to assist our employees in any way possible during these times. We're doing our best to keep our heads up amid this stress, but we now feel a need to reach out to our friends and community for assistance. Any help we can get to reach our modest goal would be sincerely appreciated.  We thank you for your support of The Shanty and hope that you will join us again soon.
