The Senator Teddy Kennedy Farewell Fund

Donation protected
Brae and I had to say goodbye to our dear boy Teddy Kennedy on September 16, a month shy of his 8th birthday. When the smoke from last week's forest fires got Teddy really sick, we took him to the hospital and found out his body was full of cancer. We put him to sleep the next morning.

We are heartbroken but so grateful for our memories of Teddy and comforted knowing he's at peace.

I am especially grateful that Brae let me move in with her at the beginning of the pandemic to make taking care of the Senator safe. I got to spend so much time with TT over the last six months. And I know he was so happy to have Mama and Papa under one roof again. What a gift!

Always our million-dollar dog, Teddy left the world the same way he came into it; by racking up an enormous emergency vet bill. Somehow, 24-hours at DoveLewis came to $4,324.59. Between this and the week he spent there with parvovirus when he was a kid, they should probably name a wing after him.

On top of everything, I wasn't able to work for a week because of the forest fire smoke, and it has put me in a pretty tough spot.  I know there are a million more dire situations to donate money to these days, and it's not a fun thing to ask for help, but I could use some.

More than anything, I want everyone to know how astounded Brae and I have been by the outpouring of love and support everyone has shown us over the last week. I know I speak for her when I say that y'all helped make the worst week of the worst year undeniably beautiful.

Thank you,
John
