The Secret Documentary Creation Fund

Hi everyone! My name is Kristina Vicario and I am a video creator, documentarian and people enthusiast. I have been working closely with Jason Krupat to create a documentary about The Secret and the vibrant community of treasure hunters that much of the world has no idea exists. I own my own video creation business where I create documentary, lifestyle and commercial work, and I find my sweet spot to be working on people-centric, human-interest stories. (and BOY is this community interesting!) In the past, I have created multiple, short-form documentaries that have been nominated for New England Emmy Awards and that have won Telly Awards. The reason I have set up this GoFundMe is to be able to fund this project. Because I am not being currently funded by any outside entities and am incurring the costs myself, I need a little bit of help in order to travel to different spots and get the interviews needed to make this piece shine. All of the funds raised will go exclusively towards the creation of the documentary. More specifically the funds will go directly to:

1. travel to different parts of the country for main interviews

2. In order to attain the quality needed to submit the documentary to festivals and/or streaming services (which is the goal to allow as many people to see this as possible), equipment rental will be needed

3. For post-production, I will be outsourcing specific parts of the project (i.e. color correction, sound design, etc) to specialists who will charge money for those services.

This documentary will dive into the backstory of The Secret and profile some of the folks who have found the treasure, as well as treasure hunters that are still seeking the treasure in the cities that have yet to be uncovered. It will delve into the lasting legacy, the vibrant community of hunters and the love of the hunt. So far, I have spoke to Jason Krupat, George Ward, JoEllen Trilling, Andy Abrams, and plan to also reach out to the other key players, as well as some of the treasure seekers.

Thank you SO much for your contributions! I am extremely excited to create something that will tell such a miraculous and fascinating story that many outside of the treasure hunting community don't realize exists today.

I also plan to create a sizzle reel, which I will share with those who donate here. And finally, we will be offering incentives and prizes to those who donate specific amounts.
