On the evening of January 16, 2019, our beloved Scott Durso was coming home from work when a driver traveling at speeds of over 100 miles per hour struck Scott's car from behind. Scott was rushed to the hospital, where he later died from multiple traumatic injuries to his brain and spinal cord and other complications.
He was capably and compassionately treated in The Trauma Unit, then in the ICU at Wake Med Hospitals in Raleigh, NC. Insurance will, of course, only cover a portion of the cost of his medical care.
Scott's incredible wife and their two twin sons are receiving abundant support from their families and dedicated community of friends and co-workers. The financial support requested will help with the cost of medical expenses, and provide financial assistance for future healing services such as grief and bereavement counseling, etc.
