Below I have added some information about the family and below that, Brenda has added details about Addison and her medical condition along with what has been going on the past 6 weeks and the next few week!

Addison and her Mom, Brenda have been in Texas at the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital Since early August. Addison's dad Chad, and Brother Ethan have been traveling back and forth over the weekends to spend as much time with their girls as they can but still be able to work, and attend school themselves.

Brenda had some PTO she was able to use, but is running out THIS WEEK and will no longer be getting a check and is beyond stressed about all the incoming bills on ONE income plus all the travels, food, gas, and medical bills..

Below is details regarding Addison and what they are doing in TEXAS!

So Addison has always been called my million dollar baby because she has been through so much with medical history. She is down in Dallas Texas having a lengthy stay at a hospital that is known very far and wide for their knowledge about scoliosis which is what we are here for. She is such a trooper because this is our second time now in her life to be having surgery for her scoliosis, because in 2020 she had a halo with traction on in Oklahoma City to have surgery in hope to stop the scoliosis from progressing. However that was not the case as Addison has a sever case of scoliosis which is what has caused her to have lots of other issues that have effected her quality of life. So with that being said our previous surgeon had decided that it was now time for some more intervention but he was not qualified in the more extensiveness of her scoliosis but did know a doctor in Joplin at Shriners who he believed to be a great candidate for Addison's case. That Doctor was humble enough to realize that he had less knowledge or experience with her severity as well and then suggested a world renown surgeon in Dallas Texas named Dr. Sucato who was welcome to take on her case. So with that being said I was aware when the surgery would be but I worked extra hours to rack up my PTO in hopes to be off for the full length of her stay in Texas. So Addison has had a surgery to begin the straightening process of her having her previous hardware removal done to start then having a halo placed on her head which consists of 6 bolts total placed in her skull to be pulled on while in traction to stretch her spinal cord along with her spine in hopes to get the best results possible when she has her big surgery which will consist of a large set of rods placed along her spine. She was not gaining weight or having strong labs as well that would benefit her health along the path the healing and preparing for this large surgery that is coming. It might be a long all day surgery just because it is so extensive. She previously had a Micky button or better known as a g-tube to help feed her directly to the stomach. Addison has always battled being heavy or even in the right weight scale for someone her age. With that being said we were total okay when her surgeon suggested having it re-accessed to help her weight gain. So Addison had to go have another surgery that we did not plan on before this when thinking about being here for her traction time but it was all for the greater quality of life for her, so we did that last week on Thursday. She is now working towards gaining weight and just getting stretched out enough to make our big surgery that much more successful. However that will done on September 28th and then after the surgery as long as all goes well we will be here for one more week after that to make sure things are all good. Addison will have her halo removed as well while in surgery but that will just being a blessing on top of making her as straight as physically possible without causing danger to her health. Chad my husband has been such a rock, taking care of things back home all week long while working, then making the drive to Texas to spend his only days off with his girls. Then driving back home four in half hours back home to do it all over again in Sand Springs.
