Hi, my name is Sophie. In February 2023 I will be travelling to Sierra Leone in Africa with 9 of my classmates to represent the Schools and Health Foundation. The Schools and Health Foundation is
a charity that is committed to providing
both education and healthcare
services to rural areas of Africa. They
have so far built 12 Primary Schools
and 1 Secondary School across Africa,
but are now placing an emphasis on
educating both teachers and students
through their scholarship programmes.
All volunteers pay for their own flights,
accommodation and food. The charity
has no paid employees meaning 100%
of any donations received go directly
to the cause.
