Support Almonte School Bus Driver
Our community was shaken June 25th by a heartbreaking accident in Almonte. While the event has left many grieving and searching for answers - the bus driver—has quietly carried the unimaginable weight of this tragedy.
Out of respect, the driver has chosen to remain anonymous, but we know this: they are a dedicated, compassionate member of our community who never expected their workday to end this way. Now, as they navigate the emotional and financial toll of this devastating event, it’s our turn to step forward and offer support.
This fundraiser has been created to help with:
• Emotional and mental health support, including access to counseling
• Lost wages or future employment difficulties
• Basic living expenses during this extremely difficult time
Every donation—no matter how small—sends a message that this driver is not alone. Let’s come together to show compassion, understanding, and solidarity. Tragedy can strike any one of us, and when it does, community is everything.

Erin Lalonde is the liaison between this fundraiser, and the bus operator to ensure their privacy during this difficult time.
JJ Robertson is working with Erin Lalonde to help handle the GoFundMe and created the GoFundMe to support the bus operator. The funds will be transferred once the GoFundMe is completed to Erin Lalonde who will be converting the funds to a certified cheque and delivering them to the bus operator. This GoFundMe process has been made aware to management of the school bus company and the bus operator. Please note that we do have other parties as well in the background working closely with us. 100% of this fundraiser is solely for the bus operator. We as the creator and liaison are not receiving payment, nor a percentage of this fundraiser.
