Support for the Schilhab Family

My amazing friend Kylie broke her ankle while at a family camp with her husband and 3 young children. After a trip to the emergency room she was told it’s a trimalleolar fracture. This means she broke the lower sections of her leg that form the ankle joint and help move the foot and ankle. It requires surgery to install hardware that will hold everything back in place and extensive physical therapy is needed after surgery. Even after surgery and therapy it often leaves a long term impact on quality of life and significantly increases the chance of arthritis in that leg.
Kylie is a small business owner and runs a cottage bakery out of her home. The process of making her delicious sourdough takes multiple days and many hours on her feet. She cannot keep up with her usual baking schedule while in a cast and healing from this injury. Kylie’s family heavily relies on her business financially. She will need at minimum 6 weeks to heal from surgery before she can get back to her business.
Please consider donating to help this wonderful family. Kylie and Michael are very involved in their small mountain community. Everyone who knows them knows they are always there to step up and help others in time of need. Let’s gather together and support them through this difficult time. The goal is to raise enough money to cover the loss of income durning the 6+ weeks Kylie will need to heal. We’d also love to raise enough to help them with the cost of gas to and from the many appointments she will have down the mountain.
