Houdini’s vet bills

Hi my name is Chris and this is my cat Houdini .

on Sunday 17th of March I noticed that he had been bleeding when going to the toilet.

after speaking to a vet on the phone I was instructed to get him checked out urgently so ended up having to take him in for a emergency appointment.

It turns out that Houdini has a serious UTI , swollen urethra and possible crystals in his bladder .

At the emergency vets our poor boy had to have his bladder manually emptied by the vet to remove the blood . He also had pain killer and antibiotic injections and was sent home with a week’s worth of medication.

Monday - today he is eating and drinking well but still passing a lot of blood . The emergency vet thinks the best option is to take him to our regular vets in the morning for a some tests so see why’s there so much blood.

he is possibly going to receive the following tests

if he needs the scans and X-rays he will be sedated so will cost a lot .

as it stands the bill for his treatment so far is well over £600 and climbing .

unfortunately insurance isn’t a option in this case as he has had previous issues in this area .

his a kind loving little guy who we all love deeply and we just want him to recover .
