On Thursday, June 11th  Rachel was out walking in Maplewood with her mom and 2 daughters, Mary and Viv.  Rachel was in Great Harvest when a car slammed into her mom, Mary and Vivian. Vivian was in the stroller which help protect her but the stroller was in pieces. The driver had hit the gas instead of the brakes while parallel parking. It pushed them through the glass window of a local restaurant. And the car went on top of her daughter Mary.  All three were taken to the hospital. They all suffered serious lacerations and glass cuts. Mary had to have surgery on her arm. Mary also sustained injury to her mouth, the force of the car knocked her teeth back into her mouth. She will be meeting with pediatric dentist next week. Her mom had to get several glass lacerations stitched on her arms and legs. Both girls were admitted but since released from Children's hospital. Her mom has been released from St. Mary's. Several of us have wondered what we can do to help. Instead of flowers or cards we'd love to help the Sauter family  with all their extra needs right now (therapy, doctor's bills, a new stroller, extra bills, etc.).
