The Sally Philadelphia Relief Fund

COVID-19 sucks.

Like many small businesses during this time, Sally has spent a huge amount of time serving our guests and community, while also trying our best to maintain the safety of our incredible staff.

Recently, our efforts to maintain a healthy environment have been overshadowed by a surge in coronavirus cases within our community causing several members of our staff to become sick with the virus. In light of this development we decided to shut our doors for one full week of service in order for our team to get better and to get tested.

This decision, however, comes with a sobering reality for our hourly workers: One less week of pay, and all during the holiday season.

Hourly service workers are amongst the most vulnerable of us when it comes to the havoc this virus can cause. The havoc that can manifest physically, but also - financially. The backbone of what makes Sally great is our staff. A staff that gives their talents and time, day in and day out, and always does it with joy. The servers, bartenders, pizza crew, cooks, and dishwashers are what keep the wheels turning here. Supporting them as they have supported us, is the most important in these difficult times.

This fund will be evenly distributed to each hourly worker here at Sally to cover loss wages from our week of COVID-19 related closure. Please share this large and wide. Any help that you can give will be deeply appreciated by all of us.
