The Salazar Boys

Donation protected

Jorge and Sebastian Salazar are two of three sons of a missionary couple who have just moved back to Canada after planting and then shepherding a church in Baja, Mexico for the past ten years.

Both boys were born in Mexico, but then spent a number of early childhood years in Canada before moving back to Mexico where they were active with their family in planting a church of 5 that has now grown to over 250.  God has blessed them and their family in so many ways as they watched Him work to create and grow an evangelical gospel centric church in a city desperate for Jesus.

Jorge, the oldest of three boys, has a heart for evangelism.  As a teenager, Jorge would engage his peers into active Christian living often challenging them to live their faith in unrelenting devotion to Christ.  After much prayer and soul searching, Jorge understood God calling him to active service in ministry and that a believer’s highest task is to serve the Lord.  Jorge is studying to be a teaching pastor, and hopes to eventually pastor a Church with a long-term permanent position.   Jorge is studying at Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis.

Sebastian is the quintessential middle-child with a passion for singing and music.  Drums were his first instrument, and he soon discovered his love for violin, singing and classical music, playing as first violin with the State’s Orchestra for a number of years.  Sebastian has always felt Christian music needs more biblical content and is devoted to developing his gifting as a musician to serve the Lord.  He is devoted to living his faith without compromise and sharing the love and mercy of Jesus with his peers.  Sebastian’s plan includes serving as a Worship pastor, creating sound Christian music and establishing a Christian musician school with greater emphasis in sound theology.  Sebastian is Studying at The Masters University in Los Angeles, California.

Jorge and Sebastian need to raise $50,000 in order to complete this year's education costs (tuition, materials, living expenses, etc.).

Both boys of have been granted several scholarships, but they are still short for their annual tuition expenses.  Their funding needs are immediate and are reaching out to the family of God to come together for them.  As missionary kids, they have not had the advantages and opportunities that other young students experience, and are looking for help in achieving their education goals.  Jorge and Sebastian are hard working young men and started working at a very young age, but because they are students in the US, they are not allowed to work while they are attending school there.  With humility they are reaching out to the greater community of God for assistance.  They are grateful for the opportunity to study at the schools to which they are currently accepted, and are looking forward to seeing what God has planned for them in their service to the Kingdom.
