Thank you so much for taking the time to read about The Sacred Outpost. My name is Rev. Pamela Dawn and I am a ordained Interfaith Minister, Priestess, Professor, Alchemist, Writer, Workshop Facilitator and Mother. Since I was a child I wanted to have a place where like-minded individuals could come together and experience the Divine! Now is the time! I am raising money to construct that place. The Sacred Outpost will be a Spiritual Center and location for me to host workshops on my own holy ground.
In April 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, I felt called to create a Labyrinth in my large back yard. After that I began to host gatherings for women to utilize the labyrinth for prayer and ritual. It was at that point that I realized that I needed a more official space to do my work.
I am currently getting my PhD is Depth Psychology and have been called to teach people how to facilitate their own spiritual and psychological healing. It has always been my goal to continue to facilitate workshops (which I have been doing since 2014)—but it has become clear over the last couple of months that I need my own space to do that. Thus, the idea for The Sacred Outpost was born.
The Sacred Outpost will be a Spiritual Center in the heart of Crestline, CA. In this amazing mountain paradise there are many churches, but not one place for people of alternate spiritualities. The Sacred Outpost will be a place where people can come to celebrate the shifts in the seasons, honor the Full Moon every month, and take a variety of workshops I will host including some on Shamanic practices across cultures, Alchemy as a spiritual discipline, and eventually Mythic Mapping—a Depth Psychological program to initiate the Individuation process, that I am designing as part of my PhD. The Sacred Outpost will consist of the Labyrinth pictured above, a deck with fire pit and pergola—to go next to the labyrinth, and a Yurt.
The funds I raise with this GoFundMe will go towards:
1) Getting a survey done of my property so construction can be done properly.
2) A large Yurt that will become the workshop and ritual space.
3) Fencing that will go around part of the property to ensure privacy for those attending workshops and rituals.
It is my intention that The Sacred Outpost will be a destination for anyone wanting healing and transformation. I hope that it will benefit the local spiritual-but-not-religious population and act as a bridge to connect people of all faiths. I hope that I can raise the funds by the end of August so construction of the Yurt can happen before it gets cold here in the mountains. I would like to start officially holding rituals and workshops in it by Yule!
