♂️ A Challenge for The Royal ABC
On this challenge, I will be attempting to run the entire West Highland Way – 96 miles across the Scottish Highlands – in under 24 hours to raise money for The Royal ABC. This isn’t just a long run; it’s a serious physical and mental test that will push me to my limits. I’ll be running through the day, into the night, and over some of Scotland’s toughest terrain. Every mile will be a reminder of why I’m doing it — to support the incredible community built around Royal ABC and help ensure the club can continue supporting the kids and adults who train there.
♂️ Running the West Highland Way in 24 Hours for Royal ABC ♂️
I’m taking on this huge challenge to support a club that means a lot to so many people in the community. I will be attempting to run the entire West Highland Way – 96 miles from Milngavie to Fort William – in under 24 hours to raise money for The Royal ABC.
The West Highland Way is one of Scotland’s most iconic long-distance trails, stretching across some of the most beautiful but demanding landscapes in the country. Covering 96 miles of trails, hills, and rugged terrain, it’s a serious challenge on its own — attempting to complete it in under 24 hours means running almost nonstop through the day and night while pushing through fatigue, weather, and the Highlands terrain.
But this challenge is about more than the miles.
The Royal ABC is more than just a boxing club. It’s a place where kids, teenagers, and adults come together to train, build confidence, learn discipline, and support each other. The club provides a positive environment where people can improve their physical health, develop mental resilience, and become part of a strong community.
For many young people, the gym is more than a place to train — it’s a safe space, a support network, and somewhere they feel part of something positive. The coaches and volunteers give their time to help people grow, stay active, and develop both in sport and in life.
Clubs like The Royal ABC rely heavily on community support and fundraising to continue providing these opportunities. The money raised from this challenge will help go towards equipment, maintaining the gym, supporting coaching, and ensuring the club can continue to provide training and opportunities for everyone who walks through its doors.
Training for this challenge has already begun and there will be many tough miles ahead. Attempting 96 miles in under 24 hours will be one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever taken on, but knowing it’s for such a great cause will keep me going when things get tough.
If you’re able to support the challenge, it would mean a lot. Every donation — big or small — will go towards supporting Royal ABC and the people who train there.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting the challenge.
Let’s do this for The Royal ABC. ♂️
