The Room We Built for Dad—$15,000 Left

Four months ago, I started renovating my home—building my dad his own room and updating the bathroom to be ADA-accessible, so he could move in with my family as he got older. He was covering the cost of the renovation with his VA Disability check each month, never wanting to be a burden to anyone.
Now, we are trying to pay off the balance from the renovation since he passed away unexpectedly. And the $15,000 remaining balance is a burden my family has been left to carry, in the middle of the hardest season of our lives.
I wasn't prepared for either of these things—losing my father or inheriting a bill he intended to pay off on his own. Right now, my household is just trying to grieve. But that debt sits on top of everything, every day, making it hard to be sad without also being stressed about money we don't have.
If you're able to give anything toward this $15,000 balance, it would lift a real, specific weight off my family right now—and let us spend this season actually healing, instead of worrying about a contractor invoice. 100% of what's raised here goes directly toward paying off that outstanding balance.
Thank you for reading this far, and for whatever you're able to do. It means more than you know.
