On the morning of March 31, 2025, the Romascindo family from Enmore, East Coast Demerara, Guyana, endured an unimaginable tragedy. In the early hours of the morning, around 4:30 AM, an electrical fire tore through their home while they were asleep. The house was completely destroyed, and they barely managed to escape with their lives.
Sadly, two members of the family, my sister Vanla and her 9-year-old grandson Kristian, suffered burns. Vanla sustained injuries to her neck and arm, while young Kristian was severely burned on arm, and leg. Thankfully, my niece Celine and my sister's older grandson, Christiano, were able to get out safely.
This is a devastating loss, but I truly believe that together we can help this wonderful family rebuild their lives. Any support, no matter how small, will make a huge difference.
