Thanks for taking the time to check out my charity fundraising page. My name is Mike Patrizz. I grew up in the town of Vernon and graduated Rockville High in 2004. I currently work for the town as a Detective and a swat operator for the Capital Region Emergency Services Team (C.R.E.S.T.).

On 03/04/22 to 03/06/22, I will be running the 4x4x48 challenge for the second year in a row. That’s 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours, or, 48 miles in 48 hours. Along the way, I will be joined on the various 4 mile runs by members of the community including police officers, military veterans, local coaches, teachers, past Rockville graduates, and members of the C.R.E.S.T. swat team.

Last years goal was to raise $4,800 for a scholarship which I started at Rockville High named Rockville Strong: The Power from Within. I started the scholarship to help out any graduating student who has shown physical and/or mental toughness while facing overwhelming odds. 2020 was a difficult year for all of us, especially, the students at Rockville High. I felt I should do something to help out those that persevered through the difficult times and overcame whatever challenges they faced.

Well, the community really came together and we raised almost $7,000 for the scholarship. This allowed me to double the initial expected amount for two students instead of one. Since last year was such a success, I would like to set this years challenge at $10,000. 2021 was not any easier and we have all seen the cost of tuition and related supplies increase. I would like to be able to increase the amount given to students again this year with your help!
