The Rock Needs a Little Help From his Friends

Donation protected

Dear friends and family !

As many of you know, our dear friend and my best bud, Andrew Sampson has been facing an incredibly tough year with a degenerative hip issue. His journey began almost two years ago as he waited to be scheduled for his replacement surgery.

During this past year, Andrew was forced to go on long term disability, which lessened his income and put a financial stress on his family.

In December, Andrew finally underwent much-needed hip replacement surgery. While his recovery initially seemed to be going well, things took a turn for the worse in February when he developed a severe infection in his new hip. This led to another surgery, followed by a grueling six-week course of IV antibiotics at home.

We thought Andrew was on the road to recovery, and he had returned to work. However, in July a new and much more serious infection in his hip required the complete removal of his replacement hip, resulting in extensive damage to his femur.

Andrew now has a temporary hip and is undergoing another six weeks of IV antibiotics, and a 3-month healing period, unable to bear weight on his leg beyond a light touch. He is unable to work and will require another operation after the 3-month healing period to remove the temporary hip and insert a new, hopefully permanent, hip appliance, requiring another 3-month healing period.

And if that wasn’t enough, a few days ago, Andrew was admitted to the hospital with blood clots in his leg and, more dangerously, in his lungs, a side effect of the surgeries, medications and lack of mobility.

This string of medical setbacks has consistently kept Andrew out of work and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, placing an enormous financial strain on his family. Andrew and his wife, Sarah, who is a dedicated stay-at-home mom, are doing everything they can to provide for their two sons, Luke and Noah, both in their early teens. Mounting living expenses and mortgage payments have made this time extraordinarily difficult.

This is where we can step in to make a difference. We are asking for your help to support Andrew and his family during this incredibly challenging time. Your generous donation will go directly towards helping them cover essential living expenses as Andrew continues to recover. Every little bit helps, and no amount is too small.

Andrew has always been the kind of person to step up for others in their time of need. Now it’s our turn to rally around him and his family. Please consider donating, and if you’re unable to give, sharing this campaign with your network is another powerful way to show your support.

Let’s come together to help Andrew, his wife, and their two boys navigate this difficult chapter. Your kindness and generosity will make a world of difference to this wonderful family.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
