They say bad things happen in threes...

My sister's family has been through a lot over the last Month. Heather lost her job in November when the company she worked for restructured her department. Nolan had planned to pick up more work over the winter to help support their family so that Heather could take the time to find the best fit for a new position with another company. Unfortunately, Nolan wasn't feeling well and his health only got progressively worse. He has now been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and begins at least 6 Months of chemotherapy in just a little over a week. Friends and family have all been shocked to hear the news and many have expressed the desire to help how they can. His parents have been instrumental in caring for them and their children as they navigate appointments and Nolan's general health needs over the past few weeks. In an awful turn of events, Nolan's mom suffered a heart attack on the morning of Christmas Eve. She was found unresponsive by Heather and Nolan's 5-year-old daughter, Claire, and Heather performed CPR until paramedics arrived. After some scary moments in the hospital, she is now stable and awake and will hopefully continue to improve.

As you can imagine, this is a lot for one family to endure and Heather can not be expected to go back to work to financially support them at a time like this. I would like to raise funds to alleviate some of the financial stress. The funds will go towards paying bills as EI and Disability funds do not completely cover everything, plus they'll need groceries and household support.

Heather and I will continue to post updates on Nolan and his mom, as well as any other methods of support they could use (meal train, fundraising, or general help with the household, the kids, or their schedule).
