The Robert Schoonover Track & Field Scholarship

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of beloved husband, father, grandfather, naval officer, and coach, Commander Robert “Bob” A. Schoonover, on December 13th, 2020 following sudden cardiac arrest after a recent diagnosis of bladder cancer.

Commander Schoonover, better known at Rogers High School as Coach, “Schoonie,” or “Schoons”; and as “Anpa” to his granddaughter, was devoted totally to family and athlete alike.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, please consider donating to the newly-established scholarship in his name, to be awarded annually to a Girls Track & Field scholar-athlete:
