The Story: On this Sunday of April 2026, I am reaching out with a spirit of resilience. My name is Jorge Zuazola. Since July 8th, I have been on a rigorous journey of healing from a life-critical medical event involving extensive burns.
The Reality of the Struggle: For months—from July until early November—the severity of these injuries forced me to remain lying down for at least 16 hours a day. Living alone in Germany at age 60, I had to survive on my dwindling savings with virtually no ability to generate income. The picture represents the first 30 days evolution on what was, and continues to be, a human struggle
The Current Medical Status: I am fighting, and I am healing. However, the truth is that the surface area of the burns on my stomach and midsection has not reduced in size and likely never will. While we are working to avoid immediate, high-risk surgery, the long-term impact on my vital organs—including my heart, kidneys, bladder, and legs—remains an unknown territory that requires specialized monitoring during the rest of the year i.e. without a private medical treatment I do not see an end to this health situation.
The Mission: 20 Years of Separation I am the emotional pillar for my nearly 90-year-old mother in Spain, and I am the father of a German interracial daughter I have not been able to spend time with since 2006. After 20 years of separation, my absolute priority is to stabilize my health so I can finally bridge this gap. I refuse to let this injury be the reason I never see her again. It would be a shock for me at the age of 60 which might stop my life.
The $50,000 Recovery Roadmap: I am seeking to raise $50,000 to cover the next 6 months of my life and recovery:
• Medical Specialists: Several consultations with Urologists, Cardiologists, and GPs to monitor internal organ health conducive to some form of operation which cannot go ahead if we do not have pre-funds first because as I live alone I have to take care of myself
• Essential Stability: Covering the cost of living and specialized nutrition while I manage my household alone.
• The Reunion: Logistics to finally reunite with my daughter in another European country. She is not informed of any of this and I pray to God she will not see this so please keep this confidential
The Appeal: I have reached millions through my work at European Leadership, Spanish Leadership and American Leadership, but today I am asking for your empathy. We invite donations between $100 and $2,000.
Thank you for standing with me as I fight for my life, my health, and my family.
