The River Ortega Fund

Hello to everyone.

 

As we all know, River is Going through his Journey with battling cancer.

 

He is taking every step needed to beat this.

In doing so, he has had to leave his employment in order to fully commit to his treatment and getting better, which demands a lot physically and mentally.

His girlfriend has also done the same to care for him, so neither one of them is receiving any sort of income during this time.

His request for unemployment was denied unfortunately as well, as he is trying to figure out a way to make ends meet and cover his bills during this time.

Of course his family is already supporting him by covering living expenses and such but we all know that despite insurance, medical bills can pile up along with other bills.

 

Stress is such a big factor in how this disease progresses within the body. The worries about finances should not be some thing that prevents him from getting better.

 

We have started this go fund me page so that we can help alleviate some of that stress when it comes to his finances and so he can concentrate on what he needs to as opposed to worrying.

If you are able to contribute any amount to hopefully help with this burden, Marlena and their family will be eternally grateful for the love you’re  showing River during this time.
