The Rimes Family

For those of you that know the Rimes family, you know the love they have for each other and their community. They have always been there for us, and now it is time for us to rally around them as they navigate this devastating time.

Late Wednesday night, May 3rd, this tight-knit family of seven suffered the unexpected loss of their husband and father. He suffered a catastrophic heart attack, and after trying life-saving measures for over an hour, Chris passed away with Jennie by his side. Chris is survived by his loving wife Jennie, his daughters Lizzie and Maggie, and his sons Topher, Caleb, and John.

Jennie is one of the strongest women I know. She is small but mighty, and has such a passion and zeal for everything she does. She is a top notch teacher, and a jack of all trades, there is not much she can’t do. She gives selflessly to her students and shares her love of the arts with them. She is a mother figure to the students who walk into her classroom each day. She is the rock for her family during this difficult time, but I want her to know that she can lean on her community of family and friends.

Jennie is now the sole caregiver for her and her children. There are unexpected medical and funeral-related costs, on top of the added responsibility of being the sole provider for the rent and other bills, groceries, and necessities for her children. She has one son in college, one in high school, and two in elementary.
