This fundraiser is centered on The Rim Job, brought to you by the Warrior Healer Project, a Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim ultra marathon of about 44-45 miles to raise awareness for prostate cancer and to support someone who is facing it privately. Out of respect, this story is being kept anonymous, with the focus where it belongs: on the cause, the reality of this diagnosis, and the practical support that is needed.

This is a serious physical challenge with a clear mission behind it. The run is meant to bring real attention to prostate cancer by taking on an ultra marathon that pushes endurance, commitment, and purpose into the open. The goal is not only to raise awareness, but to turn that effort into meaningful support for someone dealing with the day-to-day impact of prostate cancer.

The Grand Canyon matters because it reflects the kind of endurance and perseverance this fight demands. In a challenge like this, there are long stretches where the climb feels steep, the effort is relentless, and the only way forward is to keep moving. That is part of why this setting was chosen. It speaks to the reality of prostate cancer treatment, doctor visits, missed work, and the mental toll that comes with a diagnosis. This run is meant to honor that battle by turning physical effort into awareness and support.

The funds raised will help with doctor costs, treatment, and lost income from missing work. A prostate cancer diagnosis brings ongoing financial pressure, and those needs do not end with one appointment. Continued support can help cover recurring medical expenses and make it easier to manage time away from work while treatment is ongoing.

Funds may also help get us to the Grand Canyon for this challenge and support making a documentary to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer through video. That piece matters too, because the goal is not only to complete the run, but to use it to tell a bigger story about prostate cancer and bring more attention to a disease that too many people face quietly.

The 11 of us have been training for months for this effort, and we know we cannot do it alone. This ultra marathon is about showing up for prostate cancer awareness in a direct, meaningful way while also helping with real day-to-day needs.

If you are able, please consider making a donation to support these continuing costs. Recurring donations can provide steady help as expenses continue over time, and one-time gifts are also deeply appreciated. You can also help by sharing this page and leaving a message of support. Every contribution, share, and message helps support this cause and the person at the heart of it.
