Help Jetplane Coffee pay a livable $15hr wage.

A pandemic. A recession. Major political and social unrest. All in our first year as a brick-and-mortar coffee shop.
Despite the upheavals of the past year, we are proud to have been a place where the community can still meet -- masked and distanced -- to come together, relax, and enjoy hand-made coffee and baked goods.
Now, after a full year squatting in our empty building with a pop-up cart and folding chairs, we are ready to build-out into the full restaurant that we always planned to be. Our goal is to approach this next phase of Jetplane with a continued focus on quality, dignity, and service.
One way we are going to achieve this goal is by offering a $15 minimum wage to all our employees. We believe that every worker deserves a livable wage, and we can be financially successful while we pay one.
As we begin building our final form, we’re asking the community for support to be able to offer a $15 minimum wage throughout the construction and our first year as a restaurant disguised as a coffee shop. We’ve got enough for the construction, but just barely. Donations now will ensure that we make it to the finish line, and are able to train, retain, and support a healthy workforce while we do so.
Our 15k goal is more than a symbolic representation of the long overdue $15-hour federal minimum wage, it is also enough money to pay for 1000 employee work hours. Your support will primarily go directly to employee payroll expense. Funds may also be used for other initiatives that have a direct impact on Jetplane’s employee workforce.
