The Ridgeway Tramp

Last June,  Johnny Sutton, a great friend to many of us, was diagnosed with Cancer of the Oesophagus which was a devastating shock to him and his family.

Over the past 10 months he has been through brutal Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and a terrifying operation. Whilst his treatment was successful and he is now on the mend, there is no doubt that the process has left him with life changing circumstances.

There are no words to describe the quality of the treatment and support that he received both before, during and after his treatment. It is because of this that we have decided to raise awareness and funds to support this incredible but little known charity.

To raise money, a select group  of enthusiastic (but middle aged men) have decided  to embark upon "The Ridgeway Tramp" on Friday 16th April. As long as a marathon (26.2 miles) and a climb of approx 3,000 ft, we would set out at dawn from our start point on the Ridgeway (Hinton Parva, just east of Swindon) and walk eastwards ending up in Letcombe Regis, nr Wantage.  The "Tramp" should take us 12/13 hours all being well.

All funds collected will go directly to the charity as my trip is fully self funded. Any donations towards this fantastic cause would be hugely appreciated and would make a massive difference for this fantastic organisation to which I am so thankful.
