The Ricky Rogers Legacy Scholarship was created to honor the life and legacy of our dad, Ricky Rogers. He was a devoted father, supporter of agriculture, and a man whose character left a great impact on everyone who knew him.

Ricky was raised on his family’s farm in Payne’s Cove, where he learned the value of hard work and developed a passion for agriculture. He carried this passion into a 32-year career at Brothers Implement in Hillsboro, where he worked alongside many farmers, technicians, and mechanics whom he considered family.

Agriculture was more than just his profession- it was part of who he was. Ricky shared his love of the land with his children. He and his son, Layne, spent countless hours outside playing various sports and practicing target shooting, while he and his daughter, Cameron, tended their garden and cared for flower beds on warm summer evenings. More than anything, Ricky was known for his kind heart and the way he made people feel at home.

This scholarship has been established to carry on Ricky’s legacy by supporting students pursuing education in agriculture and related fields. It is our hope to invest in scholars from rural communities who share our dad’s strong work ethic and passion for agriculture. Each scholarship awarded represents an opportunity for a student to grow, succeed, and make a meaningful impact.

Please honor Ricky’s memory by contributing to this scholarship. Your donation will help create opportunities for students who are working toward a future in agriculture and who will carry on the values that Ricky lived every day. If you would prefer to donate in-person or via phone call, please contact any Citizens Tri-County Bank branch.
