Update: It’s with a broken heart that we update you with the news that Rich passed away on Tuesday, December 12th surrounded by family & friends. The cost of care and final expenses are significant. Your continued generosity, support, and prayers for Melissa, the kids, and family are appreciated and needed. There will be a celebration of Rich’s life on Dec. 29th at 2 pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas.

From Rich: We are so overwhelmed by the love, support, generosity and prayers from everyone! This is going to be a long road but we are staying positive and will continue to fight! Fourth round of dialysis was completed today and Rich is feeling pretty good and has an appetite today!

Rich Johnson Medical Fund

Some are aware and more are finding out by the day that Rich is fighting for his life with multi-organ failure. His hope for recovery hinges on a liver transplant and continued dialysis. There isn’t a better man. There isn’t a better husband, father, son, or friend. I’ve never heard him say anything bad about anyone, ever. Rich Johnson is the epitome of what the Christmas season is all about. Joy, laughter, fun, and giving. Rich has always had a huge heart for those struggling and has always been a tremendous source of empathy, encouragement and help to others. Like so many who give freely of themselves, he struggles to ask or accept the same love and support he offers others. Rich was only two months into a new role when he went to the hospital and therefore does not qualify for the benefits that would help mitigate some of the costs of his treatment. Please help show Rich that those who give help can receive help and that love shown to others can be returned exponentially. Please consider donating any amount you can to help Rich and his family through this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go directly to Rich and Melissa to be used towards medical expenses, and their everyday life needs/expenses.
