Family, friends, friends of friends, family of family, family friends, fellow humans. I have never once asked for help but my heart it completely broken and full with a yearning to help our friends, whom are considered more family than friends, as well as all the other Camp Fire victims.
Our dear friends Jerry and LeAnn Rice and daughter Kelsi (Senior in high school) of Paradise, CA lost their life long home and everything within from the Camp Fire last week. Not only did they lose everything, their son Garrett and wife Emily and son Colby also lost each of their homes and everything they owned. Garrett and his wife Emily (newlyweds) barely made it out alive. Terrifying!! Obviously we are all so grateful for their lives and that they have each other during this catastrophic tragedy. Our hearts go out to all the lives lost and families affected by this horrific event.
Our family here in Utah has a hope to help this family and community not only rebuild long term, but have the items they need immediately to live more comfortably during these tough days.
This family is amazing! Have such grateful and giving hearts. They love their community so much and are very involved there. Their sweet daughter has been volunteering at the evacuation shelter while out of school. Anything this family does not need will be shared with the local shelters and community in need.
Our goal here is to make a HUGE impact. This family would do the same for any of us if reversed!!
Our hearts ache for our friends and the entire Paradise community. We know their spirits are strong and they will rebuild as time allows.
With the holidays upon us and all the charitable donations we all give each year, please choose to give to the Rice’s and the Paradise community this year!! Get your families and children involved, as there is no better feeling than helping those in need!!
