The Rhodes Academy of Dance, based in Windsor, has had 29 dancers chosen to be part of the England team going to the Dance World Cup in Burgos 2025. They will be dancing in several categories over the 9 days of competition.
It is a huge privilege and honour to have been selected via a massively competitive nationwide audition process and reflects the effort and drive of the dancers and their teachers to reach the extremely high required standards.
Whilst the team will need to fund their own travel accommodation and event fees, rehearsals, costumes, ballet shoes etc plus of course the cost of parents and teachers to go with them as they are all under 18, we are looking for donations to go towards the Team England kit for all of our dancers (approximately £100 per dancer)

The Rhodes Academy of Dance in Windsor was founded 30yrs ago and is run by Heidi Rhodes and her daughter, Megan. There are around 400 dancers in the school from those that come to a half hour ballet lesson a week to others that take classes at the school and also train at pre-vocational schools such as the Royal Ballet School Associates and Central School of Ballet Associates with a number each year going on to full time professional dance training.
The dancers chosen for the World Cup are from the school’s competition team. They take part in local and national competitions, winning many trophies and medals every year. In addition to their normal dance lessons, the competition team rehearse regularly and take strength and conditioning and pilates classes every week to help them build their strength and prevent injuries. They are 100% committed and love and enjoy every opportunity that comes their way to perform.
The Rhodes Academy of Dance Fundraising Group was set up by parent volunteers and, in line with the Group’s constitution, exists to try to ensure that dancers do not have to turn down opportunities like this because of the financial obligations. We have a dedicated ‘community group’ bank account, separate from the dance school business accounts and all sponsorship money is to be paid into that account – not to individuals.
