I’m Gabrielle Pelicci, a.k.a. Dr. Gabby, and I’m on a mission to inspire people to activate more power, more energy, more awareness, and more freedom in their lives.

One of the most important steps in my own healing journey was writing this book, which took 14 years. I dedicated all of this time to writing my memoir because I think that our stories matter. I think that our stories weave us together; intertwine us and protect us. They help us feel less alone and less crazy when we’re overwhelmed with the mess of life.

The Background To This Book

In my lifetime, I have experienced many difficult things including abuse, addiction, death of loved ones, domestic violence, eating disorders, mental illness, and more. I have spent my entire life exploring healing modalities from all parts of the world and traveling to 40 countries to study different kinds of medicine.

I know how it feels to be stuck in rumination, negative patterns, bad relationships and horrible pain. I’ve healed myself from a terrible past and I know so many people can benefit from the lessons that I’ve learned. I’ve shared all of this in my book, in the most honest and vulnerable way possible, because I want this book to change your life.

Where will the money go

The investment you make to help me publish goes towards covering the editing and publishing of my book and, if it goes well, the marketing of my book. Based on extensive research, conversations with published authors and those who've done it themselves, here are my estimated costs:

Copyediting = $3000

Proofreading = $2000

Custom Deigned Book Cover = $750

Layout, cover and production = $1,000

Shipping costs of books and free copies = $1,000+

Book Website setup and design = $1500 + Kickstarter fees = $500

This doesn't include the costs of an online marketing and PR campaign, circa $5,000 - 10,000.

Risks and challenges

The only setback will be not completing my book to get it out to be edited and published for when I've said I'll have it delivered. But once I set a goal I usually meet it and will be determined to do this and keep everyone informed who has supported it.
