Addiction reaches people from all walks of life, and when it takes hold the effects are devastating.
In the United States alone there are approximately 21 million people suffering from drug and alcohol addiction, yet only about 3 million people actually receive treatment.
We have seen what happens when people can’t get the help that they need. We have seen how addiction destroys lives, tears families apart, and devastates entire communities.
That’s why we have decided to start The Refuge Recovery Center.
Our goal is to build a place that will actively work to overcome common barriers to treatment, so we can help the people that no one else is willing to help. We have secured a large facility in Sonora, CA and are currently in the process of remodeling it to accommodate our vision.
Our goal is to begin our out-patient services by the end of 2020 and be able to admit clients to our in-patient treatment program by Spring of 2021.
There is a lot to be done in order to get our doors open. All donations to this campaign will go to renovation costs, permit and licensing requirements, and initial facility expenses to get us up and running. Your donation brings people one step closer to getting the help that they need.
