Hi, I’m Sarah Reeter.

My husband, Don, is the best husband and father, especially when it comes to providing financial for his family. Unfortunately in February we found out he has Stage IV non-small cell lung cancer, so he hasn’t been back to work since January 18th. Fortunately he was able to 1) put in enough sick and personal time to continue to get paid for a few months, 2) apply for short term disability and 3) apply for critical illness insurance. Yay! PTL!

Well my friends, today (03/29/2024) Don thought he would be getting his last paycheck from his job before switching to short disability pay. That’s so not the case…after numerous bumps in the road, his short term disability nor his critical illness have been approved, yet, and he did NOT get a pay check due to a misunderstanding on pay cycle.

So here we are with an overdraft account, bills to pay and no money plus we have a Freshman in high school and a 3 year old son. Yikes! So I’m putting my full faith in our Lord and am kindly asking for your help. Don, my husband, is very stressed about money, which he really doesn’t need right now, and is too embarrassed to burden another by asking for a “handout” to provide for his family.

Well I’m not too embarrassed or proud to say, “We need a leg up!” I know God will provide for us fully if only we have faith. I’ve seen evidence of this just since we started this cancer journey. So if you feel led to give us a “leg up” in prayer or monetarily, we would be so appreciative and blessed.
