Family, Friends, Fans & Supporters, Johnny Mac needs your help.
Hi my name is Johnny Mac and I guess I’m Canada’s first openly gay pro boxer. Crazy, right? Who would have thought it would have taken this long. But here I am, ready to chase my dream of becoming a champion boxer and leader and role model for the LGBTQ community.
After an 11 year hiatus from boxing, I’m back in the gym, at the Spryfield Boxing Academy, training for my first pro fight. I’ll be fighting Luke Noel on the 2 in 1 at the Lebrun fight card in Bedford, Nova Scotia on June 15th.
As you can imagine, training as pro is a lot of hard work and a huge financial strain. I try to train three times a day around my full time work hours as a shunt driver. As you can imagine working full time makes it difficult to focus on training every day. I’m asking for your support so that I can go above and beyond the 100% that I already put into training. Your kind and generous support will go towards helping me pay for my trainer, coach, gym fees, healthy meals, proteins, supplements etc.
Thank you in advance for generous support,
