The Rector and the World's Fastest Zip Wire

 

On 6th April 2022, I will be visiting the Penrhyn Quarry in Bangor, Wales, home to the 14,000 slates now at St Marylebone Parish Church for our new Welsh-slate roof.

 

It seems only apt that to help raise funds for our final fundraising push for the Changing Lives project, I allow someone to push me off a quarry!

 

The quarry is home to the worlds fastest zip-wire. It is 500ft-high and just over a mile-long with panoramic views of the slate quarry and local coastline.

 

The Changing Lives team will accompany me on this 'adventure', ensuring plenty of film and photographic evidence of this feat.
