The Real Nathan Phillips funeral costs page

Hello, my name is Patricia Phillips, and I’m Nathanial Phillips’ mother. He was the oldest of my four children. Unfortunately, on the afternoon of July 17, 2021, my Nathan lost his life in a horrific car accident in Hickory Hills. His siblings and I are devastated, saddened, and we are taking time to heal because this has hit my family hard. 

Although I was able to lay Nathanial to rest, I still owe a significant balance for his funeral expenses. The reason is that I was unable to make a successful GoFundMe page because of a fraudulent page created before mine without my knowledge or permission. Consequently, I immediately notified GoFundMe as soon as I found out about the fraud. As a result, After investigating, That fundraiser page has been shut down and refunds have been processed to EVERYONE who donated to that page. I would like to personally say thank you to all who donated unknowingly to the fraudulent fundraiser. 

Nathan was looking forward to his senior year of high school. I watched him not only work hard to achieve his goals in school, but I also had the chance firsthand to see him as a responsible employee. I recently helped him get a job alongside me to earn his own money and be proud of himself. My last memory with Nathan was of us sitting together on my patio the night before this accident. We had a bonfire that evening, and he had been out with his friends, so we had already put the fire out when he returned home. However, he managed to make a smore using the tiniest little piece of burning wood in the corner of the pit. He was happy like he always was, with a smile from ear to ear because he was a joyful, funny boy who we will forever hold near and dear to our hearts. 

It is very upsetting that someone would think to take advantage of this tragedy our family is experiencing. Given this fraudulent situation, I can certainly understand anyone’s hesitation in donating at this point, but any donation made during our time of need, whether large or small, is greatly appreciated and will be used for its intended purposes. From now on, to ensure that funds go to the correct person, this page is the only official and legitimate fundraiser page for Nathanial Phillips.
